Today we have experienced our first snow fall of the winter. Can you imagine all the commotions going on now?
To the driver, "Oh NO!, It’s snowing and I gotta drive in this!"
To the child, "Moooom.... Daaaaaaaad! It’s snowing! Can I go out side... let’s build a snowman... let’s go sledding... let’s make snow angels... is school cancelled?"
To the school teacher, "It’s snowing, is it enough to close the school?"
To the child-men with toy trucks, "It’s snowing, time to plow the money!!!"
To the adult-kids and dare devils, "It’s snowing! Let’s go snowboarding."
To the plumber, "It’s snowing! Anyone got frozen pipes?"
To the doctor, "It’s snowing! Drink a couple hot toddy’s and call me in the morning."
To the retiree, "It’s snowing! I’m so glad I don’t have to go out in this!"
To the snow bird, "It’s snowing! I’m so glad I’m in the Key West!"
But, to a 7 month old kitten... curiosity got the better of her. She darts out the front door like an escapee. Running down the porch steps into the snow. Snuffing and looking around for a few minutes only to begin shaking her legs one by one... step by step. As mommie comes, she darts back up porch steps to less steeper snow away from mommie, exploring some more. Once the door opens, she darts back in the house only to continue her exploration visually from the warmth of the house perched on the couch looking out the window.
Whereas her 30 month old playmate, whom also darted out only to recognize the white stuff and refused to touch it. Exploring from the spot on the porch not covered with snow next to the front door. Darting back in to the warmth of the house as soon as the door opens.
Well folks! How’s that for our first snow fall of 2012?
Enjoy and stay warm!
